Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology X-Ray Technologist with OR and fluoroscopy experience for a night-shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital. The role requires ARRT(R) and BLS, with license dependent on state rules, and prefers 2+ years in related settings.

Responsibilities include a broad range of imaging studies in an acute teaching hospital, working with portable equipment and a team in a magnet-designated trauma facility. Travel and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• OR and fluoroscopy experience required.
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging studies across abdomen, extremities, spine, head, chest and trauma scenarios.
• Conduct fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series.
• Utilize GE, Philips, Siemens equipment and PACS.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE protocols.
• Work night shifts 19:00-07:00, with on-call and holiday rotations.
• Travel experience required; local candidates within 100 miles not accepted.

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology X-Ray Technologist with OR and fluoroscopy experience for a night shift assignment at a Level I Trauma Center teaching hospital.

Requirements

• Current ARRT(R) and BLS certification
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, additional years preferred
• OR and fluoroscopy experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Experience with bedside/portable procedures including portable chest and abdomen
• Proficiency with infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols

Responsibilities

• Acute care teaching hospital setting including Adult Acute Care, Outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Performs abdomen, upper/lower extremity, spine/pelvis, head/chest, and trauma imaging studies
• Performs fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series
• Uses GE, Philips, Siemens, O-ARM, and PACS equipment
• Epic charting system preferred
• 3x12 hour night shifts, 19:00-07:00, Friday-Sunday
• Includes on-call and holiday rotation with staff
• Performs diagnostic imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions and trauma cases
• Works within a Magnet-designated, certified stroke center and Level I Trauma facility
• Holiday coverage required, with additional requirements during winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Facility may call off staff up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and Christmas RTO will not be approved
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous employees must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler
• Scrub attire of any color accepted, excluding neon or tie-dye patterns
