Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist for a pediatric outpatient center. ARRT and BLS certifications are required, with a minimum of two years of experience. Teaching hospital and trauma-level experience preferred, along with expertise in abdomen/GI, spine, chest and ortho imaging.

Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and PACS experience are essential. Daily 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts with 5x8 hour days, 100% travel within the hospital or nearby affiliates, and generous benefits including

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred.
• Experience with abdomen/GI, spine, chest and other imaging.
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy and enema studies preferred.
• Experience with C-arm and portable imaging.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide fluoroscopy services including modified barium swallows and urodynamics.
• Perform radiographic procedures in outpatient setting with daily caseload.
• Operate various imaging equipment and PACS/clinical software.
• Adhere to infection control, PPE and contrast media procedures.
• Maintain licensure and complete required documentation.

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist for a pediatric outpatient center requiring ARRT and BLS certification plus 2 years of experience.

Requirements

• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Experience with abdomen/GI, lower extremity, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, upper extremity, and head imaging
• Skills in enema studies, fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow and trauma cases preferred
• Experience with C-arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen imaging
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and radiation safety
• License required if applicable
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Outpatient center setting serving walk-in patients
• Fluoroscopy services including modified barium swallows and urodynamics
• Daily caseload of 30-75 patients per tech, working alongside another technologist
• Uses Konica U-arm, Philips, EOS, OEC, Dornier, Zheim, GE, O-ARM, and PACS equipment
• Cerner charting system required
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 100% floating required within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals
• Scrub color is royal blue

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Indiana residents are considered local
• Any current or former IU Health perm/PRN employee must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
