Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Evening Radiology Technologist to support an acute care radiology department in a teaching hospital setting. The role requires ARRT and BLS certifications, IEMA license, and at least 12 months of acute care radiology experience, including chest and long-bone imaging.

The position covers an 8-hour evening shift 2:30 PM–11:00 PM with rotating weekends and on-call duties. EPIC EMR is used, with GE and Shimadzu equipment, and travelers are accepted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of acute care radiology experience within the last year.
• Comfort performing general radiology including chest and long bones.
• Experience with portable x-ray equipment.
• Fluoro, OR, and C-arm experience are a plus but not required.
• ARRT, BLS and state license requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• 231-bed teaching hospital with no trauma designation.
• Main radiology department with 3 rooms plus 1 ER room, plus portable x-ray services.
• Heavy ER, trauma, inpatient, and outpatient patient population including adults and some pediatrics.
• Outpatients are walk-in only with no appointments, creating a busy environment.
• Average of 20-30 patients per tech per day with 1:1 patient ratios.
• 8-hour evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Rotating weekend schedule with every other weekend required.
• Schedule cycle runs 4 weeks at a time, provided 1-2 weeks in advance.
• No floating beyond portable x-ray duties.
• On-call and call-back requirements apply.
• 1 winter and 1 summer holiday coverage required.
• Radiologists available during the day, with reads after 10pm.

• 1 week of facility and unit orientation provided, with additional time available if needed
• Scrub requirement is gray or gray top with black pants
• Free parking available
• Facility accepts travelers with 1 year of experience and considers first-time travelers
• No radius rules apply and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for travel assignments
• Time off requests require manager approval
