Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with 2–5 years of hospital experience to support OR, GI, and general X-ray procedures on evening shifts. The role requires ARRT (if applicable) and BLS from AHA, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

The position involves working in a 757-bed hospital across IP, OR, ED, and OP settings, performing interventional and GI procedures, and using GE equipment with EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in a 757-bed hospital
• Handle imaging for IP, OR, ED, and OP settings across all ages
• Perform interventional and special procedures (myelography, hysterosalpingography, arthrography)
• Perform GI and general X-ray procedures using various rooms and portable equipment
• Operate in surgery settings with C-arms and O-arms
• Utilize GE equipment and EPIC EMR during procedures
• Adhere to evening shift 3:00 PM–11:30 PM and weekend/holiday coverage as required
• Rotate between OR, GI, minors, and IP/OP areas as needed
• Support radiologist during interventional and GI procedures
• Provide patient care essential to exams and be available for OR call when necessary
• Complete orientation for travel assignment and comply with health vaccination policy
• Wear required scrubs and adhere to facility dress code
• Accept up to 5 days off but make up time during assignment
• Local candidates accepted

• Patient population includes all ages from IP, OR, ED, and OP settings
• Performs interventional and special procedures including myelography, hysterosalpingography, and arthrography
• Performs GI procedures and general X-ray procedures using portables, fluoro rooms, and general X-ray room equipment
• Performs surgery procedures using C-arms and O-arms
• Uses GE equipment and EPIC EMR
• Evening shift schedule, 5x8s from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Works every other weekend with holiday coverage required if scheduled
• Call requirements as needed by facility, with preference for rotating weekend call
• Floats between OR, GI, minors, and IP/OP areas as required by facility
• Assists radiologist or performing physician during interventional, special, and GI procedures
• Provides patient care essential to the exams being performed
• Able to take OR call when necessary
• Night shift orients on day shift, and traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Black scrubs required, Crocs are not acceptable attire
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
