Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray for an evening shift in Massachusetts. The role requires ARRT (R) certification, MA Radiologic Technologist License, and BLS certification, with on-site duties in a teaching hospital.

The position entails five 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, on-call three shifts per month, weekend and holiday coverage, and potential OR patient interactions. Travel housing and licensure support are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience with 1 year current experience required.
• ARRT (R) Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• MA Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable.
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to take call.
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Radiology department of a 298-bed teaching hospital with a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department
• Evening shift, five 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• On-call requirement of three shifts per month
• Must be willing to see patients in the OR
• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, and DR systems
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with hospital and OSHA standards
• Attend annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens and infection control training
• Maintain continuing education in radiology and mammography
• Must work two major holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this assignment
