Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. You will perform X-ray exams, verify patient information, and travel to designated locations within the assigned region to deliver timely imaging services.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down of all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm the requested examination.
• Travel to designated locations within the region to perform X-Ray exams.
• Maintain communication with teams at the locations.
• Prepare patients and conduct X-Rays per procedures and safety guidelines.
• Obtain patient history and note observations during examination.
• Use radiation shielding materials as required.
• Ensure equipment functions and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Complete radiology procedures in EMR and bill accordingly.
• Obtain insurance pre-authorization for CT scans.
• Confirm X-Ray exam in PACS and attach report to patient chart.
• Clarify discrepancies in radiology readings with medical provider.
• Manage company fleet vehicle responsibilities and logs.
• Participate in quality control/assurance programs.
