Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to support multiple urgent care locations. You will start up and shut down X-ray equipment, verify patient and orders, and travel within the designated region to perform exams, while maintaining safety and documentation in EMR.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Solid understanding of anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and charting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and shut down X-Ray equipment at sites within the region.
• Identify patient and confirm examination orders.
• Travel to designated locations to perform X-Ray exams.
• Maintain vehicle logs, daily checklists, and fuel.
• Communicate with site teams and coordinate care.
• Prepare patients and perform radiologic procedures with safety.
• Document histories, observations, and use shielding materials.
• Ensure equipment functioning and report malfunctions.
• Complete radiologic procedures in EMR and billing notes.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans and verify PACS reports.
