Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our expanding team. The role involves starting up and shutting down X-Ray equipment, performing exams at multiple sites within the region, and ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding anatomy and physiology necessary to perform x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety considerations.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and verify ordered examination.
• Travel to designated locations to perform X-Ray exams.
• Complete fleet vehicle duties and logs.
• Communicate with teams at locations.
• Prepare patients and perform radiologic procedures safely.
• Obtain patient history and note observations.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Ensure equipment functioning and report malfunctions.
• Complete radiologic procedures in EMR/PACS for billing.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans.
• Verify exam in PACS and add report to chart.
• Clarify discrepancies with medical provider.
• Stock and maintain site supplies.
• Participate in quality control and assurance.
