Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT registration and 2 years of experience to float between Proton and Photon units in a hospital Radiation Oncology department.

Day shift is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role requires ARRT and CPR, with travel assignments and Elekta experience considered a plus. Open to local candidates based on location.

Qualifications

  • ARRT registration required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required.
  • High school diploma/GED or college completion required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department.
  • Float between Proton and Photon units as needed.
  • Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Uses CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipment.
  • Prepare and apply ionizing radiation to patients according to Radiation Oncologist prescriptions and departmental protocols.
  • Operate under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead Therapist.
  • Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy courses with minimal supervision.
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate depending on facility location.
