Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy Technologist program.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy according to physician instructions and patient treatment plans.
• Enter data and adjust equipment controls to regulate dosage.
• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, and clinical physicists with treatment plan preparation.
• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered.
• Maintain patient and billing records including dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions.
• Perform routine and complex treatments such as total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy.
• Prepare equipment and treatment rooms for patients.
• Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment appropriately; perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines.
• Provide clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists.

• Clinic operates 6:00a-6:00p with shift times varying within those hours
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Elekta equipment experience preferred
• No weekends or on-call required
• Must be able to work UNC holidays if needed
