Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. As a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in the Fluid division, you’ll perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on pumps, troubleshoot issues, and support customers on site. You’ll have opportunities to advance into higher level Tech roles while delivering excellent service.

You will travel to customer sites, document service work, and train junior technicians as needed, contributing to a safe, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform service documentation.
• Train lower level Technicians.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer sites.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
