Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in the Fluid division to perform maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, troubleshoot, and service equipment at customer sites.

You will contribute to safe, professional work and support the service department. This role offers opportunities to train junior technicians, demonstrate equipment to customers, and advance toward higher-level tech roles within the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
