Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation across facilities. The PTA will implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises, and collaborate with therapists to promote mobility and independence.

The role requires an accredited PTA education, state licensure, and strong communication, with travel between treatment sites. A team-focused environment and compliance with organizational policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the applicable state.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet applicable health and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized therapy interventions and therapeutic exercise programs designed to improve patient function and mobility.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and clinical activities in the medical record according to organizational and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in patient care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and rehabilitation planning activities.
• Communicate patient progress, concerns, and treatment updates to supervising therapists, rehabilitation leadership, and healthcare team members.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff regarding maintenance programs and therapeutic activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Support patient and resident safety initiatives throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Travel between treatment locations and facilities as needed to provide patient care services.
• Meet established productivity standards and complete required documentation within established timelines.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, professional practice standards, corporate policies, and the organizational Code of Conduct.
