Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitative care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, implement individualized plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote mobility, strength, and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the applicable state.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized therapy interventions and therapeutic exercise programs designed to improve patient function.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and clinical activities in the medical record according to guidelines.
• Participate in patient care conferences and rehabilitation planning activities.
• Communicate patient progress and treatment updates to supervising therapists and healthcare team.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff on maintenance programs and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Support patient safety initiatives throughout rehabilitation.
• Travel between treatment locations as needed to provide care.
• Meet productivity standards and complete documentation within timelines.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
