Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment with BLS certification and 1+ year of experience preferred.

The role covers outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed patients, with about 8 patients per day and 10-hour shifts Mon-Thu, totaling 40 hours weekly.

You will work under the PT Manager/Supervisor; first-time travelers are welcome, and MatrixCare EMR is used on assignment.

Qualifications

• Requires physical therapy degree and BLS certification.
• 1+ year of experience preferred; training provided.
• Active license and state/NLC licensure required for submission state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in acute, outpatient, and swing bed settings.
• Manage ~8 patients per day in a 40-hour week with 10-hour shifts (Mon–Thu).
• Work under the PT Manager/Supervisor; no PTAs in role.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Uses MatrixCare/Matrix EMR (training provided).

• Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7am-5pm, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Uses MatrixCare/Matrix EMR
• Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled settings
• Department-specific orientation provided (12 hours)
• Casual professional dress code
• Works under the direction of the PT Manager/Supervisor
• No PTAs supported in this role
• Open to first-time travelers
