Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for an outpatient clinic in Arizona. Requires AZ PTA license (pending licensure accepted), BLS, and at least 1 year of outpatient experience.

Travelers are encouraged. The role focuses on workers' compensation and occupational rehab, with day shifts 8:00–16:30. You will treat orthopedic and neurologic conditions using modalities, maintain charting, and coordinate with rehab nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• AZ PTA license required with proof of pending licensure accepted prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
• Experience with WorkSTEPS or APET preferred
• Experience with Work Hardening Evaluations or Functional Capacity Evaluations preferred

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic setting focused on workers' compensation and occupational rehabilitation
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Patient population includes orthopedic conditions such as hip fractures, post-op spinal and shoulder surgeries, total joint replacements, and spinal conditions
• Also treats neurologic conditions including post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson's disease
• Uses various modalities and exercise equipment including crutches, gait belts, walkers, and upper/lower extremity prosthetics
• Charting system experience required
• Evaluate and treat injured workers, establishing safe return-to-work plans of care
• Perform ergonomic evaluations and job analyses as needed
• Communicate regularly with rehab nurses and referring physicians regarding patient progress
• Maintain professional conduct with patients, physicians, case managers, and insurance representatives
• May assist with scheduling, referrals, and other administrative tasks as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
