Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Day Shift assignment in Lamar, CO.

Inpatient experience and at least 4 years of hands-on practice are required to support our Rehabilitation team in a newly built facility. You will manage patient interventions under a licensed PT, document progress, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists in a fast-paced setting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for growth and ongoing CEU

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State license required if applicable.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience required.
• Inpatient experience required.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Bilingual capabilities helpful.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
• Patient population spans all ages from newborns to the elderly.
• Day Shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Work performed in a newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium.
• Implement patient interventions under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.
• Collect data related to interventions and modify treatment as directed to progress or ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
• Requires astute communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, administration and the public.
• Must be able to operate equipment, perform technical procedures, and communicate professionally.
• Potential exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.
