American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an inpatient acute care setting, requiring BLS certification and 1+ years of experience.

The 13-week assignment covers both inpatient and outpatient PT with a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays. MatrixCare/Matrix is used for charting; professional attire is required and travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• Active state or compact licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient acute or related setting.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor within 12 months, one peer or supervisor within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment in inpatient acute, acute rehab, swing bed and outpatient care settings.
• Covers both outpatient and inpatient areas within the PT department.
• Treats approximately 8–12 patients per day.
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour days.
• No weekend or holiday requirements.
• Uses MatrixCare/Matrix for charting and documentation.
• Professional attire or scrubs of any color permitted.
• No clinical involvement required in this role.
• Department currently staffed with one rehab aide.
• Past employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health within the past year will not be considered (PRN through outside firms allowed).
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position.
