Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient therapy position in Danville, IL. The role requires 1+ year of relevant experience, IL PTA licensure, and BLS-AHA certification.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, using therapeutic modalities, and documenting in a therapy EMR. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM with travel and housing support offered.

Qualifications

• IL PTA license is required.
• BLS-AHA certification is required.
• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience is required.
• Experience with clinical documentation and teaching methods is required.
• Experience with therapy EMR charting is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient therapy department implementing treatment plans established by the supervising physical therapist.
• Treat patients of all ages using therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
• Utilize a therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging.
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with no weekend or holiday shifts required.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Adjust treatment based on patient response after communicating with and documenting coordination with the evaluating therapist.
• Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations.
• Complete documentation in accordance with facility clinical documentation policy.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this position.
