Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/swing-bed unit in Illinois. Open to new graduates; requires Illinois PT licensure and BLS, plus a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) with day shifts and no weekends or holidays. You will use an EMR for documentation, develop individualized care plans, supervise staff as needed, and coordinate care with providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Illinois PT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• New graduates may apply.
• Experience with modalities: ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis.
• Orthopedic and neurologic evaluation skills required.
• ROM, strength, and functional testing proficiency.
• Tape application for movement stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and swing bed unit setting.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
• Day shift with no weekend or holiday shifts.
• No floating requirements.
• Uses therapy EMR for documentation and charging.
• Provide direct patient care including transfers with proper body mechanics and safety.
• Design and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient goals and evaluations.
• Perform clinical examinations and evaluate orthopedic and neurologic impairments.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other providers.
• Communicate with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations.
• Supervise support personnel and provide ongoing feedback per standards.
• May supervise students, project work, and in-service training as part of clinical ladder.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Radius rule of 50 miles; local candidates not accepted.
• Open to first-time travelers.
