Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Post/Pre-Op RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, IL. Youll provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, with 40 hours per week on day shifts.

The role requires one year of Pre/Post-Op RN experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred. Benefits include competitive pay and dedicated clinical support to travelers.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
ACLS and/or PALS certifications preferred

Responsibilities

Assess patients pre-operatively, including reviewing medical history and risks
Prepare patients for surgery and educate on procedures and post-operative care
Receive and assess patients transferring from the operating room and monitor post-anesthesia condition
Monitor post-operative patients for complications and manage pain and recovery
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques
Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records
