The role involves working with a Level III trauma facility, 3x12-hour night shifts (approx. 1830–0700), documenting sleep stages and events, applying electrodes, and coordinating with physicians. Allscripts EMR and Alice PSG equipment are used daily.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required.
• BLS and RPSGT or RCP certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Operational knowledge of Sleep Lab equipment and Hospital Information Systems.
• Proficient with MS Office, email, and internet-based programs.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Aufgaben

• Acute care setting within a Level III trauma facility.
• Sleep Tech unit specializing in sleep studies.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts with varied start times, typically 1830-0700.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Uses Allscripts EMR.
• Utilizes Alice 5 and/or Alice 6 polysomnography equipment.
• Reviews patient histories, medications, and procedures prior to studies.
• Applies electrodes and sensors and performs calibrations.
• Monitors and documents sleep stages, clinical events, and procedural changes.
• Performs PAP titration per protocol.
• Removes sensors and faxes reports to physicians after studies.
• Maintains cleanliness of lab rooms and work areas.
• Participates in departmental meetings, in-services, and annual policy reviews.
• Demonstrates professional etiquette consistent with facility behavior standards.
• Promotes patient safety as a core organizational value.
