American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a Level II trauma acute care sleep center. The role requires RPSGT certification, pediatric sleep study experience, and a strong EPIC EMR background.

The position includes a 4-bed lab, 12-hour night shifts (3 nights/week), and no weekend requirements, with orientation on EPIC One Chart and EEG software before independent work.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Pediatric sleep study experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the sleep disorders field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care Level II trauma sleep center.
• Operate a 4-bed sleep lab with a 1:2 technologist-to-patient ratio.
• Perform sleep studies and administer CPAP, O2, and BiPAP therapies.
• Utilize EPIC One Chart EMR and Natus Xltek equipment and ResMed PAP machines.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (3 nights per week) with guaranteed 36 hours/week.
• No weekends or holidays required.
• Orient new staff to EPIC One Chart, sleep and EEG software, workflows and procedures.
• Badge in/out at the facility and comply with access policies.
• Avoid local candidates with addresses within 80 miles of the facility.

• Acute care setting within a Level II trauma facility's Sleep Tech unit
• 4-bed sleep lab with a 1:2 technologist-to-patient ratio
• Performs sleep studies and administers treatments including CPAP, O2, and Bilevel therapy
• Utilizes Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment, ResMed PAP machines, and EPIC One Chart EMR
• 3 night shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, guaranteed 36 hours per week
• No weekends or holidays required
• Orientation includes one week working with day sleep technologists to learn EPIC One Chart, sleep and EEG software, workflows, hospital layout, and policies and procedures
• Followed by one week of night shift orientation with another sleep technologist managing 2 patients before working independently
• Gray scrubs required
• All staff must badge in and out at the facility
• Does not accept local candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility
