American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist for an overnight sleep lab role in a hospital setting.

Requirements include BLS, registration (RPGST/RST/SDS), and at least 1 year in sleep medicine. ACLS preferred. Night shift 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 3 days/week with some weekend work. Knowledge of sleep apnea and PSG monitoring equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Registration is required: RPGST, RST, or SDS (license where applicable).
• ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a sleep medicine setting.
• Knowledge of sleep apnea, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and PSG monitoring equipment.
• Familiarity with department and hospital-wide policies and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Sleep lab department within a hospital setting.
• Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 3 days per week.
• Weekend shifts required per unit schedule.
• Performs PSG and CPAP/BiPAP titration studies.
• Perform routine and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitor patients throughout sleep studies.
• Educate patients on sleep studies, sleep apnea, and CPAP titration prior to testing.
• Connect and disconnect patients from electrodes and complete related documentation.
• Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy according to department protocols.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong clinical judgment.
