Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in Fargo, ND. Candidates must have RPSGT certification and at least 2 years of sleep study experience, with ND license or willingness to obtain.

BLS certification is required. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic polysomnography, titration, MSLT, and maintenance of wakefulness tests in an acute care unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sleep study experience.
• RPSGT certification via BRPT required; CPSGT or AASM registration also considered.
• ND state license required or willingness to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic polysomnographic, titration, MSLT, and maintenance of wakefulness tests.
• Use EPIC for charting and Natus software for sleep studies.
• Work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, primarily Sun–Mon–Tue with some variation.

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA)
• RPSGT certification via BRPT required; CPSGT or AASM registration also considered
• ND state license required or must be willing to obtain prior to start; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of sleep study experience
• EPIC charting experience

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a 10-bed Adult Sleep Study unit
• Performs diagnostic polysomnographic, titration, multiple sleep latency, and maintenance of wakefulness tests
• Uses EPIC for charting and Natus software for sleep studies
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, primarily Sunday-Monday-Tuesday with some variation based on need
• Weekend requirement includes Sunday nights
• Unit is closed on Thanksgiving night, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day; otherwise open for holidays falling on scheduled shifts
• Records and provides accurate diagnostic data to physicians for treatment of sleep/wake disorders
• Dark gray scrubs required
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must disclose it for review
