Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in an outpatient sleep lab setting. The role requires RPSGT and BLS, with EPIC EMR experience preferred, and licensing as applicable.

10-bed pediatric-capable lab operates with a 2:1 patient ratio and 12-hour night shifts. The position offers housing allowance and travel reimbursements, with badge-in/out requirements and off-campus parking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a sleep tech.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital outpatient sleep lab setting located off the main hospital campus.
• 10-bed sleep lab with 2 beds designated for pediatric testing
• Patient ratio is 2:1 tech to patient, with 1:1 for patients younger than 3 years old
• Uses EPIC charting system along with Natus XLTech Sleep Works and ResMed S9 devices
• 3 night shifts per week, Sunday through Thursday, with 12-hour shifts
• Shifts may include split shifts and will not always be consecutive
• No call requirements and no floating to other departments
• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including PAP therapy titration
• Responsibilities include patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning
• Limited scoring during data collection
• Orientation includes modified EMR training and one shift shadowing another sleep tech
• Gray scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Flat lot parking outside the building with secure entrance
• No cafeteria on site
• Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius at an adjusted pay rate
• Candidates with prior employment at this health system must disclose this information for eligibility review
