Job summary

Applegreen Stores in the United States seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead on-site teams at travel plazas, ensuring top-notch customer service, adherence to brand standards, and compliant cash handling.

You will train new hires, monitor cash policies, and uphold food safety while performing kitchen tasks, POS operations, and product knowledge maintenance. Flexible schedules and EOE/broad eligibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and handle payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues.
