Job summary

Applegreen is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold brand and food safety standards at our US travel plazas. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and ensure all tasks are performed to policy.

In this role you will oversee opening and closing procedures, operate POS systems, and maintain food safety practices while maintaining a friendly and proactive presence with travelers and coworkers alike.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures and checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prep, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform leadership of observations or issues; perform other tasks as assigned.
