Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements. The role includes training new team members and monitoring cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities span POS operations, kitchen tasks, product knowledge, and occasional cross-selling. Flexible schedules and commitment to quality are emphasized in this position.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments accurately and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature.
• Complete kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and all policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
