Applegreen Group in Ohio seeks a General Manager for a retail store inside a travel plaza on a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive profitability through sales, service quality, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing, training, and compliance, while maintaining customer satisfaction and strong partnerships with Brand Partners and support teams. This role demands flexible hours and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in a quick service restaurant.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Regular and punctual attendance with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift/carry at least 20 pounds.
• Occasional meetings or travel to support other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and managers to meet sales, service, and quality targets.
• Manage budgets, inventory controls, food and labor costs, gross profit, and reporting.
• Ensure planograms, pricing, marketing, and food safety guidelines are followed.
• Foster a learning culture and recognize performance.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a strong team with appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotions, disciplinary actions, and transfers.
• Monitor cash handling policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state/local laws.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues promptly to build positive relationships.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors and communities.
