Qualifications

• Active Maryland PTA license or eligibility to licensure.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Experience in inpatient rehab or skilled nursing/LTAC settings preferred.

• Deliver PTA interventions including exercises, gait, ROM, balance, transfers and mobility.
• Apply modalities and manual techniques under supervision and monitor safety.
• Document progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with the supervising PT and rehab team.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to support discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain adherence to facility policies, infection control, and safety practices.

Physical Therapy Assistant, LTAC travel assignment in Lanham, Maryland. Start date 12/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,644 to $1,708 per week. Guaranteed hours 35 per week. Shift schedule is 5x8 days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in a skilled nursing facility setting. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and contribute to developing and implementing individualized PT treatment plans for residents in an LTAC/SNF setting
• Deliver skilled PTA interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait training, range of motion, balance activities, transfers, and mobility training
• Apply modalities and manual techniques as appropriate under supervision, monitoring patient response and safety
• Document patient progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with the supervising PT and rehab team
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to support discharge planning and continuity of care for medically complex patients
• Maintain adherence to facility policies, infection control practices, and safety standards in all patient care activities

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland or eligible for licensure in Maryland
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility/LTAC settings preferred
• Ability to work in a LTAC/SNF environment and adhere to the stated schedule (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., five days per week)
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
