Job summary

Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a LTAC/LTC travel assignment in Waldorf, MD. Start date 10/26/2026, duration 13 weeks, 35 guaranteed hours per week, with a 5x8 shift (08:00–16:30).

You will provide PTA services under a licensed PT, implement care plans, and support mobility, safety, and patient education. This position offers weekly pay and dedicated recruiter support throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in good standing or eligible in Maryland.
• Ability to work in LTAC/LTC environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed PT in LTAC/LTC setting, supporting mobility and functional goals.
• Implement and monitor components of the plan of care under supervising PT direction.
• Facilitate therapeutic interventions including exercise, ROM, strengthening, gait and balance training, and transfer techniques.
• Assist with patient positioning, mobility, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Document patient progress, modify treatment notes, and communicate changes to the PT and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety plans.
