Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an LTAC travel assignment in Cape May, NJ. The role starts 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks, with weekly pay between $1,491 and $1,526 and guaranteed 35 hours per week.

Shifts run 08:00–16:30, 5 days a week, in a long-term care setting. You will implement the prescribed plan of care under PT supervision, document progress, and collaborate with nurses, PT, OT, and other team members to support discharge planning and patient mobility.

Qualifications

• PTA requires an associate degree.
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in New Jersey.
• CPR/BLS certification recommended.
• Ability to work in a long-term care LTAC setting.
• Strong documentation and teamwork skills; geriatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PTA services under PT supervision in an LTAC setting.
• Implement and monitor components of the plan of care, including exercises and gait training.
• Document patient progress and changes in status in the medical record.
• Assist with positioning, safety, pain management, and activity tolerance.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, OT, and speech therapy to support care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy assistant services under PT supervision in a long-term care LTAC setting

• Document patient progress, outcomes, and any changes in status in the medical record
• Assist with patient positioning, safety, pain management support, and activity tolerance during therapy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, PT, OT, speech therapy) to support comprehensive patient care
• Participate in discharge planning and communication with family or caregivers as appropriate

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program ( Associate degree)
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in New Jersey (licensure verification will be required)
• CPR/BLS certification recommended
• Ability to work effectively in a long-term care LTAC setting
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
