Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (DPT) to provide skilled rehabilitation services across diverse healthcare settings in Florida. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility and independence while adapting to new clinical environments.

Qualifications

• DPT or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active PT license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of PT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
• Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OT/SLP, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
• Adapt quickly to new facilities and patient populations while maintaining exceptional care.
