Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a dedicated Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disability. The PT will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy across diverse clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and rehabilitation therapy principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, manual therapy, and mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
• Recommend and train patients on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
