Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a dedicated Travel Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services across a variety of healthcare settings. The PT will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to restore mobility and maximize independence.

You will adapt quickly to new facilities, collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case managers, and educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safety.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active PT license in state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, fall prevention, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
• Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare team members.
