Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Baton Rouge, LA. The position offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and competitive compensation with full benefits.

You’ll evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in hospital and rehab settings, develop individualized plans, collaborate with a clinical team, and provide patient education to promote safe, independent recovery.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Doctorate in physical therapy preferred.
• Physical Therapy experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and identify functional limitations.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings.
• Implement PT treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment safely and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-management.
