Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Peru, IN. Position: Physical Therapist (PT) in an acute care setting with 13 weeks duration, 35 hours per week, 7-hour shifts during the day.

Travel employment type; 1 year experience preferred, 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates. Immediate opening and a focus on patient plan of care and collaboration with the Medical Center team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of PT experience; new grads welcomed.
• BLS certification and state licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines.
• Understand the PT board's rules and regulations in the state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and its use.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care for patients.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition dictates.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks and document accordingly.
