ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 40-hour workweek and dayshift, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The therapist will evaluate and treat patients, develop plans, coordinate with staff, and participate in discharge planning. NM license and BLS are required; travel benefits include housing allowance and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current NM Physical Therapist licensure is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess physical and cognitive abilities of inpatients and outpatients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with patient/family participation, ensuring measurable goals and methods.
• Adhere to documentation protocols, including Initial Patient Evaluations, Daily and Weekly Progress notes, and Discharge Summaries.
• Participate in patient care and family conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings.
• Counsel patients and families regarding evaluation, treatment, and care plans.
• Facilitate timely discharge planning, providing effective education and training.
• Assist in the orientation of new associates and scheduling to ensure quality patient coverage.
• Maintain awareness of community resources to facilitate appropriate referrals.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide rehabilitation services to patients as referred, encompassing assessment, treatment plan development, implementation, follow-up, and discharge planning. This role includes actively supporting clinical aspects of the department, such as program development, operations, and performance improvement activities. Supervisory responsibilities will also include coordinating the Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs, and overseeing Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, and Volunteers.

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
