Role Overview:
A travel Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in diverse healthcare settings, they develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments through tests, examinations, and history-taking
- develop and implement rehabilitation programs
- operate specialized equipment
- monitor and document patient progress
- collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and injury prevention
- maintain a safe environment adhering to protocols
- participate in quality improvement and professional development
- assist in discharge planning
- perform assigned duties within scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid physical therapy license and current BLS certification required.
- Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and relevant experience, though new graduates are welcome.
- Essential skills include critical thinking, effective communication, technical proficiency, physical strength, interpersonal abilities, and mental resilience.
- Must possess visual acuity and the ability to perform motor tasks, handle equipment, and work under pressure.
