Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to perform daily phlebotomy and related specimen processing at PSC or in-office sites. Travel is required with occasional short-notice deployments. You will interact with clients and patients professionally while ensuring accurate, timely collection and documentation of specimens.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety, proper handling of biohazards, and accurate data entry in lab systems, supporting quality client service across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent work experience.
• Medical training in phlebotomy or related field preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client assignments within a region with short notice.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Collect specimens accurately and on time per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection to patients clearly.
• Dispose of biohazards per laws and policies; handle sharps safely.
• Enter patient and test information into PathConnect and other systems.
