Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Service Floater to perform daily phlebotomy at the PSC or in-office PST locations under the area supervisor, with travel required. This role involves assisting with coverage of client locations as needed and interacting with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include accurate specimen collection and processing, data entry, and maintaining records while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ready to travel to a client assignment within a designated region with short notice.
• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers with courtesy.
• Ensures all field patient service and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture and other collection processes clearly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazardous materials per applicable laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in Pathconnect and other PathGroup systems.
• Enters patient and billing information into computer systems with high accuracy.
• Maintains daily records and PSC/IOPST logs and assists with monthly statistics.
