Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate with phlebotomy or medical assistant training preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire is required.
• Ability to perform basic computer tasks in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Takes physician orders and ensures information for proper billing.
• Performs receptionist duties and data entry for patients.
• Collects and handles specimens including blood and urine.
• Operates laboratory equipment with proper care and maintenance.
• Travels to other sites to provide phlebotomy services as needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation in liaison with Lab Director and Medical Records.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
