Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Lab Tech Assistant for Perrysburg Medical Center to perform pre-analytical and analytical lab duties, register orders, and ensure specimen integrity. The role includes phlebotomy, inventory maintenance, and general duties to support the testing laboratory.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and may hold an Associate degree in Biology or Chemistry; laboratory experience is preferred. Travel to off-site locations is required to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Associates degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• Laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Draw blood specimens following venipuncture procedures.
• Load and maintain instruments; prepare reagents.
• Identify instrument issues and communicate with the team.
• Perform clerical tasks like inventory checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Travel to off-site locations as required.
