Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Chevy Chase, MD and surrounding areas. You’ll perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, and you’ll travel to clinics to support coverage.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00am–7:00pm, hours vary) with some Saturdays, and includes incentives like a sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement. A COVID-19 vaccination may be required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or training program or 3+ months experience required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
