The position requires a valid phlebotomy certification, at least six months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and the ability to travel within the local area. Mileage is reimbursed, and there may be potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• minimum 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously
• Label, centrifuge, and handle specimens per test order
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend trainings
