H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Winston-Salem, NC area. The role includes handling blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper transport of samples. The position covers area-wide locations with mileage expense paid and requires a clean driving record.

The main function is to assist in performing duties, troubleshooting, training, and recommending workflow improvements in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite / High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Check all test requisitions against script to ensure accuracy.
Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature protocols.
Attend annual department trainings and answer inquiries.
