Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Float Pharmacist to support multiple sites in the Phoenix metro area on a per diem basis.

You will dispense medications, provide patient counseling, and ensure regulatory compliance while traveling up to 50% to 30 sites. A PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, AZ license, immunization certification (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required. One year of pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Immunization Certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Travel up to 50%.
