Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist with NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• 1 year clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide airway management and deliver respiratory therapies.
• Administer nebulized medications and manage secretions.
• Apply oxygen therapy and monitor patient response.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to plan and evaluate therapy.

The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. The Therapist plans, implements and evaluates effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and health care team.
