Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Garner, NC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, treat and manage patients of all ages with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.

You will perform all respiratory care procedures, document in the EMR, plan treatments, educate patients, and maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS as applicable).

This role emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• 3 years clinical experience in respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and manage patients with respiratory illnesses and cardiopulmonary disorders across ages.
• Perform respiratory care procedures, patient assessments, treatment planning and education.
• Document care in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.
• Maintain required certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable).
